MEES project 2

The recent developments in the field of low-cost sensors, Big Data and ICT have paved the way for a new environmental research platform. To study the relation between cognitive abilities and air quality, a system to measure both in one place had to be developed, known as the Modelling Environmental Exposure System (MEES). We revised and repaired initial work made in this area, and expanded it with minigames, an administrative panel, and other components to make the tool suitable for research. The result is an application that is dual-purpose; raising awareness about the state of the air quality, and measuring the effects these environmental factors have on our cognitive function.
