European Values Maps

Throughout Europe, people have many different opinions towards common human values. To get an understanding of these opinions, the European Values Study conducted a survey across the continent. Our goal was to create software that can visualize the opinions gathered in a conceptual map. Here, we report on the product that we have constructed in terms of the product itself as well as the underlying architecture and tools. We also reflect on the process, including our initial planning, architecture, risk assessment, and testing plan. With it comes the insight that, although software development in a large team is difficult sometimes, it is an educational and intriguing process that must not be underestimated.
